Cody Boren and Sam King spent ten years working professional detailing, paint correction, and restoration jobs for other shops before they ever started a business of their own. That decade wasn't spent theorizing about what makes a great detailing product — it was spent on their knees, in driveways and shop bays, learning exactly what works on real paint in real conditions.

Their journey began when life's unexpected twist — the COVID-19 pandemic — led to a layoff. Fueled by determination and a dream, they embarked on this venture from the humble confines of a garage in Sherman, TX. Betting it all on a vision, they poured their savings into building Dapper Details from the ground up. Those humble beginnings have blossomed into their shop in Durant, OK.

We didn't formulate in a lab and call it done — we built every formula while actively detailing real customers' cars for pay, using the products on the job, testing and rejecting most of what we tried, and refining based on what actually worked. Three years in and still going, we've tested hundreds of products because we wanted more than just good results — we wanted the best value for regular people who want the best for their car, not just a luxury-only lineup.
